JOTAN CRAFTCORNER
Candle Care
First burn – Memory Rings
The first burn of the candle is very important as candle has memory ! During the first lit, always allow the candle to burn till the outer edges of the container; to liquify the top layer of the candle. If the wax is not allowed to liquify , it will create a “memory ring” – tunnel and continue to burn within the tunnel of the candle life.
Trim your wicks
Trim your wick before every lighting. A wick length of ¼ inch or 6mm will avoid unnecessary soot. Trimming your wicks also control the flame size which enable you to get the best out of your candle.
Maximum Session Burn Times
It is advisable not to burn the candle for more than four hours. Candle should be extinguished to allow it to re solidify.
Putting Candles Out
Candle to be extinguished with a snuffer, or dip the wick into the melted wax and then straighten the wick. Do not attempt to blow the candle as it will emit smoke.
Candle Storage
Candle should be stored in a cool, dark place , away from direct sunlight.
Safety
Do not continue the use of candle when there is 1 cm of wax remaining as the jars may be overheating and damage the counter/surface. Candle should not be left unattended and to be placed away from children and pets. Candle to be placed on a heat-resistant base.
